Dramshop refers to a bar, tavern or the like where alcoholic beverages are sold. Traditionally, it referred to a shop where spirits were sold by the dram, a small unit of liquid. Dramshop laws establish liability arising out of the irresponsible sale of alcohol to obviously intoxicated persons or minors who subsequently cause death or injury to third-parties as a result of alcohol-related car crashes and other accidents.
Available through the Tennessee Bar Association, this one hour program examines the potential liability that comes from the sale and service of alcoholic beverages under both Tennessee's Dram Shop law and under common law. Sellers and servers must know ‘how much is too much' to avoid alcohol-related injuries.

I was taught to work harder because there's always somebody smarter, take personal responsibility because it may really be your fault, know what you believe and why, put back more than you take, dare to stick your neck out, be kind to widows, orphans and dogs, and never forget there is a reason God gave you two ears and only one mouth.
